MP Tony Baldinelli was honoured to speak today in support of Private Members’ Motion M-36, which calls upon the federal government to designate August 1st of each year, as Emancipation Day in Canada.
As the Member of Parliament representing the riding of Niagara Falls, it was his pleasure to speak on this motion and share the incredible local history, the important stories, and the significant contributions and impacts that Black Canadians have had on the development of our rich history in Niagara, across our province and throughout our country.
